nice!! especially the one of an intercourse taking place… but, x-ray with babies in them – ain’t it harmful to the babies??
Ron Naylor says:
Being an artist, composer, and scientist one recognises that the degree of competence and accuracy in these pastel drawings on black paper indicates that the artist is a physician which would explain the artist’s anonymity. Apart from that the drawings are the work of an artist with a strong imagination whom uses radiographs as a context, and these artworks are not drawn from radiographs in reality. Very interesting art by a talented artist, and light years ahead of the ghoulish “art” of plastinating human corpses.

To dknypg83: X raying fetus (baby) is not harmful in the last trimester. Babies on these pictures are older. Its OK.
Cris says:
especially because they’re not real x-rays, they are drawings.

It’s hard to ever look at people in the same way. We are marvellous creatures.
Koko says:
@Edward: Tesla did NOT invent xrays, Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen did on 8 November 1895. He produced and detected electromagnetic radiation in a wavelength range today known as x-rays or Röntgen rays, an achievement that earned him the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901

If you all like this type of art check out Alex Grey’s “Sacred Mirrors” . He’s been doing this a lot longer than whoever this artist is. I believe this artist has sorta copied Alex Grey, especially with the sex and mother/child scene.

very illustrative figures…i like it very much

Alex Grey is saying, “help help, somebody is ripping off my style”. Whoever painted these is either an Alex Grey fan, or likes to rip off other peoples style and pass it off as his or her own.

@Edward – Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen DID invent Röntgen, NOT Tesla! Before saying something, count to ten.

GywEat,
Babies commonly “flip” even in late term. Some don’t come out headfirst. My next to last came out feet first. “Double footling breech.” No problem. Really. If we had been in hospital it would have most likely been treated as an emergency and compelled C-section.
Breech births are prolapsed umbilicus. That is, the cord goes through the cervix before the head does. Since the legs and body X-sections are smaller than the head, the cervix is not as stretched, so when the head is passing thru the cervix the umbilicus is squeezed between the head and the cervix.
Our doula’s hand was much smaller than mine, so she put her cupped hand in to relieve pressure on the cord. Baby was pink throughout delivery. I could have done it but her smaller hand was much better.
More often the legs are doubled up alongside the body in a breech birth, which usually makes channels for the umbilicus to not be pinched.
We were almost positive that baby was head down until shortly before delivery. If so, then she flipped. You wouldn’t think there’d be room in there at full term, but babies are amazing!
mr.fingerbutt says:
Mac,
Thanks for grossing us all out with your riveting tale of people shoving their hands up your box. Luckily you had someone with a smaller hand then those big ‘ol meat hooks you have, so you didn’t have to go and fist yourself silly with those things.
Mac says:
Mr.FB, you’re quite welcome.
I hope you didn’t throw up from looking at the paintings, since they show “blood and guts.”
Apparently, guessing from your moniker, there is another orifice you are more interested in putting digits in.
mr.fingerbutt says:
Mac,
You got that right. Knowing that you have those big giant hands makes you very appealing.
