Robot Dancer HRP-4C – development of scientists from Japan, the Japanese National Institute of Science and Technology AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology).

Specialists from AIST continue to improve their abilities and pretty soon a robot was SINGING.

The next step was teaching robot to dance,and that was implemented by using an animation package Choreonoid (a combination of Choreography and Humanoid). 

This software generates movements with same principle as the traditional programs for three-dimensional graphics – the user sets the key provisions of the object, and the program calculates the interpolation between them.

The body of HRP-4C have 30 motors and 8 more, small motors, built into the head of the robot. Thanks to them, the robot can express various emotions.

Development of robotic androids are engaged in just one decade and has already achieved considerable success. And it is very possible that after another decade androids will work unthinkable jobs for us.
